The 18-karat gold / 750 fineness white gold structure captivates with its asymmetric, highly expressive crescent moon upper motifs, from which cascading, articulated strands of gemstones flow gracefully. The ensemble is composed of 8 natural sapphires of deep, intense color and dozens of brilliant-cut and marquise-cut diamonds with a total weight of nearly 6 carats. Cascades of Light and Deep Sapphires – A Design from the Post-War Golden Age The architecture of these vintage earrings perfectly reflects the stylistic revolution of the 1950s and 1960s, an era when high jewelry abandoned rigid forms in favor of organic fluidity and multi-layered compositions. The upper motifs sit securely on the ear, framing the face in a crown of marquise-cut diamonds that resemble precious petals.
