Monumental Platinum Bracelet with Approx. 17.23 ct of Diamonds – Second Half of the 20th Century
A spectacular platinum bracelet from the second half of the 20th century, set with no fewer than 182 diamonds with a combined weight of approximately 17.23 ct. The monumental and exceptionally rich composition combines brilliant-cut and baguette-cut diamonds, creating a piece with a distinctly impressive and collectible character.
The centrepiece of the bracelet is an impressive approximately 2.10 ct brilliant-cut diamond, graded H–I colour and VS2 clarity. The stone is prominently positioned within an elaborate, symmetrical composition in which soft, flowing lines of baguette-cut diamonds intertwine with diamond-set rosettes and bands of brilliant-cut stones. This allows the central diamond to remain the dominant feature while being harmoniously integrated into the overall design.
In addition to the central stone, the bracelet is set with 96 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling approximately 11.65 ct, graded F–G colour and VS–SI clarity, together with 85 baguette-cut diamonds totalling approximately 3.48 ct, graded F–H colour and VS clarity. Altogether, the bracelet contains 182 diamonds with a combined weight of approximately 17.23 ct.
Particular attention is drawn to the bracelet’s construction. Three parallel rows of diamonds form an articulated, richly decorated structure, with the central section developing into an elaborate ornament of flowing, almost ribbon-like form. The baguette-cut diamonds are channel-set, emphasising the fluidity of the lines, while the brilliant-cut diamonds in claw settings provide intense sparkle. The underside is equally impressive, revealing an intricate openwork setting construction.
With a total weight of 48.97 g and an inner circumference of approximately 15.5 cm, the bracelet has a substantial construction and an impressive presence on the wrist. The combination of cool-toned platinum, more than 17 carats of diamonds and highly precise jewellery craftsmanship makes this a spectacular example of fine jewellery from the second half of the 20th century.
