An exceptional, highly collectible Roberto Legnazzi bracelet, crafted in Italy in the 1980s from 18-karat gold, with an impressive weight of 59.31 g. Its monumental form, bold colour combinations and remarkable precision of execution make it an outstanding example of Italian goldsmithing from the period.

The bracelet features an elaborate, sculptural cuff-style construction, with symmetrical compositions at each end incorporating large green glass cabochons, sapphire cabochons, rubies and diamonds. Two baguette-cut diamonds, each weighing approximately 0.18 ct, are set within geometric mounts, providing a striking contrast to the softer, rounded forms of the cabochons.

Particular attention is drawn to the quality of the goldsmithing. The polished gold has been sculpted into rhythmic, graduated grooves, while the inner side of the bracelet reveals an intricate openwork construction. The bracelet opens independently from both sides — a solution requiring considerable precision and highlighting the exceptional quality of the workmanship.

The piece is signed “1932 AL – ITALY – 18 KT”, a marking associated with the Italian atelier of Roberto Legnazzi. Particularly interesting in the context of Legnazzi’s work is his connection with David Webb — the Italian jeweller produced work for the legendary New York jewellery house. The present bracelet displays a similar appreciation for monumental forms, sculpturally worked gold, strong colour contrasts and the combination of gemstones in different cuts and with contrasting textures.
