An exceptional and highly striking MARCHI-signed cocktail ring, crafted from 18-karat gold. Its impressive sculptural design combines two large cultured saltwater pearls — Tahitian and South Sea — with an elaborate composition of 111 diamonds totalling approximately 1.60 ct. With a substantial total weight of 25.49 g, the ring has a distinctly monumental presence and demonstrates a high level of craftsmanship.

The composition is crowned by two pearls measuring almost 15 mm, contrasting beautifully in colour. The round Tahitian pearl, measuring 14.6–14.7 mm, displays a deep, almost black body colour with a golden overtone and very good lustre. Beside it sits a white South Sea pearl measuring 14.9 mm, with a subtle creamy overtone and good lustre. The combination of two pearls of such impressive size and markedly different colour is the strongest visual element of the design.

The ring features an elaborate, dimensional structure reminiscent of a floral composition. The gold surface is richly worked, while numerous diamonds are positioned throughout the decorative elements. Particularly striking is the upper section, where 111 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling approximately 1.60 ct, graded G–H in colour and VS in clarity, form a luminous composition surrounding the pearls. The combination of white and yellow elements within the setting further enhances the three-dimensional character of the design.

This is a jewel with a distinctly sculptural character, in which the construction and precision of execution are as important as the gemstones themselves. The wealth of detail, textured gold, elaborate floral motifs and striking contrast between the two monumental pearls give the ring the presence of a small-scale jewelled object.

The ring is signed “517 FI MARCHI”. The signature is an important identifying feature of the piece and further indicates its Italian character.
